[ Welcome | What's New | FAQ | Bugs | Download ]

The following is what will be available to users. This software will have better facilities as the ordinary Bidata but will nag you when software is loaded if the software is not registered.

The following is  thumbnail pictures of the new facilities.

selection of language facility.

If you edit the language file you just send it to me and in return you will get a free registration. You can translate to every language on the earth, and get the software in your language even if it is a sub-language of the original language.

This is a picture of the filter facility which allows  ultimate filtering of data .

This is the operators you can chose from.

Here is how you can enter what to filter on e.g. Your initials or the staff members name.

The filter is very powerful and you can filter on nearly every bit of data. You can choose to put the filtered records on the Pam Handheld computer to Take with you in the bee yard so if you have 3000 hives you can filter out just those you need to handle.

The query builder is much more powerful!

The Query builder allows you to build your own queries without needing to understand the database design or table relationships. You describe your queries by selecting plain English (or any other language) terms.
During query building is shown long field descriptions instead of actual field names, operators spelled out (e.g. "is equal to") rather than mathematical symbols and field value descriptions (e.g. "MasterCard") rather than actual values ("MC").

The Query builder does not require you to know which fields are in what table. That is, when building a query, You browses through a field list that can contain fields from multiple tables. The term "Field" in the  Query builder  is not the same as the field in database table. Each field corresponds with the database table field, but it has also additional parameters like Display Name (Caption), list of available conditional operators and the editor type. The list of fields is the global list for the database. Each field corresponds to the some entity of the real world.

Working with database structure
Which fields are shown and how they are presented to you is determined by special data dictionary customized by Structure Editor. Structure Editor allows you to specify field descriptions, captions, editing masks, list of available operations and list for available values. You can maintain multiple data dictionaries and  switch between them . Note that each data dictionary can contain multiple related database tables.

here is an example from a Demo software.
